OK Team,

Great job yesterday! We got the lifting skis installed and both sections of the fork lift assembled. All that’s left on the fork lift is the fork design welded up and the motor and chain assembles installed. We still need to install some limit switches for the lifting skis, and print out some logos to go on the Plexiglas armament. Also, we weighed in yesterday and the robot weighed 100lbs minus the forklift motor and chains. I think we will be with-in the 120lb limit, but we really need to get the complete robot and then weigh-in again.

During the Open house on Saturday, we are ready to run around the track and if we can get the scope motor programmed we should be able to pick up a ball. Much thanks to Austin in welding up all those section of the skis, and to Hank and Andrew for tapping the hole in the fork lift plates, and John and Jerrid in mounting up the lifting motor and hinge assembly, and prepping the bumper for assembly.  In addition to all this Casey is finishing up the catapult design and was able to demo his full scale capture loop.

As a reminder, we are meeting this Saturday 9-1 starting at NWTC and we will need help setting up and moving robots over to the M&M Mall.

The open house will be at the M&M Mall from 11-1 for parents/friends/colleagues.

We ship the robot on Tue 19 Feb.

OK team,

Great job yesterday. Matt was able to wire up/program the circuit board, and the robot came to life, great job.

Austin was able to weld up the skids and the several pieces for the fork lift.

Jerrime helped Rick get the skids mounted to the tilt assembly and Victor was able to make the fork lift plates. Andrew and Ian ran the CNC lathe, and

Cassey finished up the spring steel for the capture pieces for the Catapult design.

We have tonight to mount up the tilt motor and get the skid cross beams weld up. Along with mounting the fork lift plates on.

Our goal is to have a running robot that can at least pick up the ball to demonstrate at the Open House.

Excuse our snow dust…
